Whole House Air Filtration

Question: How does it work?

Our home's heating and air conditioning law depends on air filters to remove dust and dirt from the air so the distribution law (ducts) and unit does not become clogged, thereby reducing law efficiency and cut the potential of a fire hazard.

Question: Does this selection do what we want it to?

Installing a finer mesh and/or an electrostatic filter, in place of your current filter purports' cleaner air as the result. Increasing the capture rate of particulates, we will gain on our goal. Efficiency of this filter, (or Merv rating*), will dictate the level of particulate collected. (ie: Dust - Dander - Viruses - Odors)

Basic Pro's:

• A relatively reasonable solution.
• Good for those with minor afflictions.
• As easy to enunciate as changing your current filters.

Basic Con's:

• Good Particulate identification (See Merv Ratings of Filter)
• More expensive than former equipment filters
• Frequent filter changes are required

Question: How does it work?

Based on the room size and volume of air your unit moves will rule the efficiency of these units and how they safe your living space. To meet Government and Merv 16 manufactures standards, these filters must remove 99.97% of all particulates greater than 0.3 micron in size.*

Question: Does this selection do what we want it to?

Yes, 0.3 microns is a small unit of part and will eliminate most particulates, if smaller particulates such as viruses or odors are your concerns.

Basic Pro's:

• Capable of capturing in excess of 95% of all bacteria.
• Easy maintenance with regular filter changes.

• Replacement filters are easy to find

• Good for smaller particulates, (less viruses or odors)

Filterless High Efficiency Air Purification Systems

Question: How does it work?

Most filter-less systems are based on electrostatic attraction. Not to be confused with Ozone Generators. (High Ozone concentrations have been considered to be dangerous to humans and animals alike. These generators are not discussed in this article). These units are movable and come in a collection of shapes and colors. There are two basic types.

• Electrostatic units without collection plates - Particles are electrically expensed as they pass straight through the unit. The particulates leave the unit and are attracted to an opposite charge causing fall out to the ground or other animated surface.


• Electrostatic units with collection plates - Particles are electrically expensed as they pass straight through the unit similar to the former unit. The difference: Particles are attracted to plates having an opposing charge causing the particulates to drop off onto the self contained plates and not onto your furniture, walls or floors.

Yes, but unlike units with filters, these units are not dependent on a filter to intercept particle size. Particles are eliminated from the air you breathe. Smaller particulates like odors and viruses are addressed as literally as larger visible particulates.
